Dr. Lilly maintains a busy schedule which includes work as a musician (trumpet), arranger, composer, clinician, and pedagogue. He holds a:
Dr. Lilly an active musician and pedagogue, with more than 25 students in the central Indiana area and many professional playing opportunities. He is the Calendar Editor for the International Trumpet Guild. He also hold membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia national music fraternity, the Indiana Bandmasters Association and Pi Kappa Lambda honorary national music fraternity. Among Dr. Lilly's teachers are many well known and highly respected pedagogues. Dr. Lilly has studied trumpet with Charles Gorham, Robert Grocock, William Adam, Stephen Burns, Bernard Adelstein, Dominic Spera, Charles Schlueter, Delbert Dale and Marvin Perry II. He also studied horn with Michael Hatfield and Philip Farkas, trombone with M. Dee Stewart and tuba with Harvey Phillips. He has engaged in music composition studies with Dr. David Ott, Dr. Michael Schelle and Dr. David Baker, and jazz improvisation, composition and arranging with Dr. David Baker and Dominic Spera.

Fees for Sessions:
Private music lessons are priced at $50.00 per hour with a 30 minute minimum session.
Longer sessions are available upon request.
All sessions are by appointment only. A weekly schedule of regular students is maintained, so contact Dr. Lilly to insure he has an opening for you. Every attempt will be made to find time for students interested in pursuing musical excellence and personal progress. Those interested in beginning long term study should consult with Dr. Lilly to receive a list of Studio Policies before beginning lessons.
Lessons with Dr. Lilly will be conducted in his home studio in Morgan County, Indiana, near Martinsville (directions available upon request). If you are visiting the area and would like to arrange for a coaching or study session, please contact Dr. Lilly in advance to schedule a time and to obtain directions from your location. Other locations sometimes have openings available, but contact Dr. Lilly to insure he has time at those locations.
